About Me
Deby Grant, LMT
Welcome.
My Commitment to You.
- I will create an individualized session by LISTENING to what you say about your pain and restrictions in your movement patterns.
- I will focus my attention & achieve the goal you set for releasing fascial adhesions that impair movement and cause pain from post-surgical scars or injuries.
- I will work to release tight and imbalanced muscles to restore movement & relieve pain.
A little of My Story
I have been practicing bodywork since 1992. I have taken thousands of continuing education courses over the years to enhance my skill set. My passion for this amazing field of service lead me to founding, owning, and directing Sage School of Massage & Esthetics for almost 18 years. Working with students, staff, government entities, and the community has given me a wealth of experience in loving people for who they are. Non-judgement and respect for each person’s uniqueness is key to all relationships. I have learned to listen well. I believe this gives me intuition to use my skilled touch to alleviate pain which may be physical or emotional.
I have a huge heart for people who may feel hopeless or feel that they just have to live with their pain and loss of movement because I have been there. Several years ago, I hit black ice and rolled my SUV on my way to work. I crawled out with my dog, Chloe, being grateful we were still alive. In the months after the accident my spine began to rotate and that summer, I could not even lift my rake to garden without pain. That started my journey to find pain relief and to gain my movement back. After years of not giving up, trying different doctors and treatments, I finally found relief. I understand loss and I know the joy in overcoming challenges. I believe this gives me greater compassion for others which ultimately is felt through my hands whether treating Post-Surgical Scars & Injuries or giving Therapeutic Massage Therapy.
Some of My Interests
Organic Gardening
Still working at trying to be an organic gardener which is a challenge in Redmond, Oregon! I also enjoy my trees and the eco-system that I try my best to preserve holistically.
Watercolor Painting
After years of running businesses and using my left logical brain, I wondered if I had any right creative brain. So, I found an online Watercolor Painting teacher, Karen Rice. She is amazing and a great teacher. So, I started painting in November of 2024. And the funny thing is I am really good at copying my teacher’s instructions and my paintings are not too bad! Who would have ever known there was an artist in me.
Commitment to Health
I struggle with discipline, so exercising first thing in the morning gives me the consistency I need to make a difference in my health. It also prevents me from talking myself out of exercising later in the day!?
Faith, Family, Friends
& My Dog Chloe
I am SOO grateful for my Faith, Family & Friends who have loved and supported me all of my life. They have influenced me and helped me grow to be a better person. I value community and a sense of belonging to people who care. Names and photos are too numerous to include.
